- What is it ?
It's a simple bash script (released under the GNU GPL v2) related to the famous grid computing project Folding@home. It retrieves details on the current Work Unit from different folding@home files (i.e. FAHlog.txt and unitinfo.txt) and from psummary.txt (which is created from psummary.html via html2text) and stores them in variables. Then it outputs them to stdout. So you can use it to output what you want and let Conky (or whatever) prints it to the screen. It allows you to easily monitor your folding processes.
- How do I use ?
- download it,
- "chmod u+x" it,
- modify the output of the script in your favorite (nano) text editor (by default it outputs everthing),
- "exec -i" it in your .conkyrc,
- and finally enjoy. "Et voilĂ " ;)
- It doesn't work !
Try to updated your psummary.txt, psummary.html is updated every 10 minutes on Standford's servers. Note that beta projects are not listed on this page so you won't be able to know some details about these WUs.
